The Document Processing test may be taken using one of two programs: Microsoft Word or OpenOffice Writer. You may request either program when you take the test. Because Word is used more often, it is the program used in the demonstrations throughout this tutorial. The tutorial uses Word 2007; your version of Word might differ from the demonstrations.

The Word document used in this tutorial's demonstrations can be downloaded so you can practice what is being demonstrated: Document. You will also need these two files for later in the tutorial:picture textfile. Remember where you saved them and what you called them so that you can retrieve them when necessary. We suggest that you save all three files to your desktop.

There are two ways to navigate through these tutorials:

1. You can select the sections of the tutorial you wish to go through by clicking on the links on the right. If you don't need a refresher on "Print a document" you can skip this section and go directly to "Change Margins" or any other section.
2. You can also go through the tutorial sequentially by clicking on the link labeled "Next" to go to the next tutorial page or the link labeled "Previous" to go to the previous tutorial page.

If you are knowledgeable with document processing, try your hand at the practice test and skip over the tutorials. This will help you determine if you are REALLY ready.
