Frequently Asked Questions
All the information necessary to pass the tests is included in the CIL website, including the FAQs. Please review the site and let us know if you have a question that is not answered. We cannot be held responsible for issues that arise due to a lack of understanding of CIL policies by students that have not reviewed the entire CIL website.
Question
How long do I have to pass the CIL tests?
Answer(s)
There is no specific time limit on the passing of the CIL tests, although they are designed to be passed during your first year at USU. Some majors or courses may require you to finish the tests as a prerequisite.
Passing all the tests early will help you avoid the procrastination issues that occur to many students around registration, program application, and graduation deadlines. We do our best to assist students who walk at graduation and move out of state, only to find that the registrar's office won't mail them their diploma since they never took the tests, but it is much easier for everyone while you're still here.
